Kuppaimeni (Acalypha indica), or Indian Nettle, is a small, erect annual herb, 30-60 cm high, known in Tamil Siddha medicine for rejuvenating skin and treating infections. Its leaves are bright green, ovate, and ovate-shaped with toothed (serrated) edges and a soft texture, often emitting a strong odor when crushed.

- Medicinal Properties: Highly regarded for its anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and anti-parasitic properties, used to treat skin diseases, eczema, psoriasis, and scabies.
- External Application: Crushed leaves are applied as a poultice to heal wounds and reduce inflammation, or used to aid in the removal of unwanted facial hair.
- Other Uses: The leaves are sometimes cooked as a vegetable in India and Africa.
