Elumbu otti ilai (Bone Joint Leaves, Blepharis maderaspatensis) are thin, lightweight leaves from a hill-growing shrub, known in traditional Siddha/Ayurveda for bone and joint health, found in poor soil with rocks, featuring small white/cream flowers with purple veins and leaves in false whorls, used dried or powdered for pain relief, inflammation, fractures, and general wellness. 

• Traditional Uses: Primarily for bone fractures, joint pain (knee, back), inflammation, swelling, and wounds.
• Preparation: Used dried (as whole leaves or fine powder) or made into a paste for external application, or brewed as a tea.
• Properties: Believed to possess anti-inflammatory, analgesic (pain-relieving), and rich-in-calcium properties.
