Korai also called as Nut Grass in English is a grass plant grows in all crops fields. Its roots are actually called as Korai Kilangu. It is collected, dried well, and ground into very fine powder. It is being used by our people as a skin care powder mixed along with water. It is also being used by our ancestors for various health purposes.
It is called as Nutgrass in English, Nagarmotha in Hindi, Tunga Mushtalu in Telugu, Karimuttan or Muthanga in Malayalam. Cyperus Rotundus is its Botanical Name.
